A STARR OF OUR VERY OWN.
As a Company of young aspiring artists, those behind the scenes are responsible for making things happen. Here we sit down and chat with one of our very own.
NAME: Whitney Starr
AGE: 19
ARTISTRY: Wardrobe Stylist

WCY: How would you describe us, past the title, in one word, in one sentence?
WS: With one word “Determination” and in one sentence a “creative family of believers.”
WCY: How and when did you get your position with the company?
WS: About two years ago, Analyssa & I met in a mutual college course, shared an interest in fashion; from there we’ve sparked big dreams & helped one another follow them. I’ve been on the receiving end mostly!
WCY: Why World Class Youth?
WS: Because if it weren’t World Class Youth I wouldn’t have a reminder to go after the things I want & to not play it totally safe by putting my dreams on the back burner.
WCY: Tell us a little bit about styling this years Promo Shoot.
WS: Shooting the Promo Shoot was exciting because it was the first time styling with fashion store and lender “Up against the Wall”. The Store manager was amazing & was very open to letting World Class Youth use any & everything we wanted in the store. I had so much fun shopping! The model, Maria was super comfortable & super sweet, she killed the shoot. At one point I was modeling, the pictures came out good, but I’m always nervous in front of the lens.
WCY: World Class Youth recently held a successful fashion for a cause event “Stop Shop” what were your thoughts?
WS: The event was fun, perfect springtime kickoff, there were so many sweets & we all basically hung out & had a huge picnic. We helped a lot of people including ourselves give back & help others in the easiest, tastiest way ever. We donated a LOT of pieces of fashionable clothing to the Long Beach Women’s Shelter!
WCY: Your personal background, tell us about you outside of the company.
WS: Outside of World Class Youth, I’m usually still pretty busy, I have a family I’m very close with; I love to shop of course… I work whenever I can, college life is expensive! I love books & I love to write so I spend a great deal of time in libraries & on computers trying to update my tumblr or spend a few hours reading. I’m somewhat introverted, so it’s some good time to myself!
WCY: What other people or companies would you like to see reach out to the company?
WS: Karl Lagerfield and The Olsen twins. I’m kidding! BoxEight has been really great to us, but maybe People’s Revolution, I love (from what I’ve seen) how they run business. It seems exciting, because lately I’ve been learning the beauty in PR Business’.
WCY: What should our fans expect to see from YOU in the near future with World Class Youth?
WS: Expect to see a lot more styling from me & becoming more business savvy. I love the business!
